What is Honesty?

Honesty

Definition: "fairness and straightforwardness of conduct; adherence to the facts" (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/honesty).

Show honesty in classes and labs by ensuring that the work you are asked to complete is your own. You should follow the policies and directions provided by instructors, teaching assistants (TAs), and staff. Make sure you are accountable for your own work and are truthful about what you have done.

Honesty is demonstrated by:

• Truthfulness
• Sincerity
• Not withholding information
• Not telling lies or variations of the truth
