Learning Outcomes

By the end of this lesson you should be able to:

  • describe the goals, methods, and principles of the movements in this module;
  • define the term resistance and its various manifestations in a peace movement context;
  • draw comparisons between past and contemporary movements of resistance against dictators; and
  • describe the role of symbols in peace movements.
