Learning Outcomes

By the end of this lesson you should be able to:

  • describe the ideas and methods of some peace movements in the ancient, pre- and early modern world;
  • describe the influence of movements from long ago in the present day;
  • outline the history of the Haudenosaunee Great Law of Peace; and
  • compare the actions of the Historic Peace Churches in the War of 1812.
