Module 7: Calculating and Analyzing
GHG Emissions

Description

A GHG emissions inventory development initiative requires a process to be defined with boundaries that allow for data to be collected and collated. Once that data is collected and collected, it requires analysis to normalize and verify the data. The calculation of emissions is a simple formula; there are complexities that require analysis and definition.

This course module will introduce a sample organization’s GHG emissions inventory quantification process, with a focus on the type of data and how to calculate emissions for an activity. This module will cover how to:

  • Plan a GHG emission inventory process
  • Calculate GHG emissions
  • Compile GHG emissions results

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • calculate GHG emissions.

The focus here is on calculating GHG emissions using activity data and emission factor and compiling GHG emissions calculation results.
